James Vincent McMorrow

James Vincent McMorrow (born January 14, 1983) is an indie folk singer-songwriter from Ireland. He debuted on February 26 2010 with the album Early in the Morning. The record became a hit in the following year across the rest of Europe and the United States. Further success came in the form of his first appearance on UK TV through Later...with Jools Holland, on May 2011.

McMorrow played with Lisa Hannigan, a fellow Irish indie musician, on 8 December 2011 at Dublin's Button Factory, as part of the Choice Music Prize event.

Early in the Morning recieved an European Border Breakers Award in 2012 for its success beyond his home country.

In 2014, McMorrow released his second full-length album, Post Tropical. The music style of the album strayed away from his acoustic folk approach by accomodating electronic elements, 1960s soul influences, and hip hop beats.
