Aphex Twin

Richard David James (born 18 August 1971), best known by his DJ stage name Aphex Twin, is a British electronic musician and composer. He is a legend in the field, and has been described by The Guardian newspaper as "the most inventive and influential figure in contemporary electronic music". He is the co-founder of Rephlex Records alongside fellow DJ Grant Wilson-Claridge. The two met during one of James' nights as DJ and a friendship emerged not long after. Aphex Twin's album Selected Ambient Works 85-92 was called the best album of the 1990s by FACT Magazine.

James developed music since the age of 13, producing 100s of hours of unused music. He incorporates elements of lucid dreaming into his works. The accompanying music videos are often trippy, unsettling and surreal, further matching his style.
