Action Bronson

Action Bronson (real name Arian Arslani) is an American hip hop recording artist from Flushing, Queens, New York. Born to an Albanian father and a Jewish mother, Bronson was a respected gourmet chef in his native New York City, and hosted the online cooking show Action in the Kitchen. His journey to music began after an unfortunate accident resulted in him breaking his leg in the kitchen. Bronson debuted with Dr. Lecter, which was independently released under Fine Fabric Delegates, on March 15, 2011. The title referenced the hit thriller Silence of The Lambs and the album's songs were all made using breakbeat samples. Dr. Lecter was met with positive reviews and prompted Statik Selektah, a hip hop producer, to collaborate with Bronson.

Bronson cites Nas, Cam'ron, and Wu-Tang Clan among his influences. His rapping style features lyrics about food. People have compared him stylistically and lyrically to fellow rapper Ghostface Killah of Wu-Tang fame.
