Ben is the second studio album by pop sensation Michael Jackson. The album was released on August 4, 1972. During this time Jackson was still a member of The Jackson 5. The album received mixed reviews from music critics in 1972. Ben was more successful on music charts than Jackson's previous studio album, having reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200. Internationally, the album wasn't successful enough, peaking at number twelve in Canada, while charting within the top 200 positions in Australia and France. It features the song "Ben", which comes from the movie of the same name about a killer rat and a lonely boy that becomes its friend.
